Got No.1 in Google Results

Hi folks,

yeah we could see our results in the first page of google just with two days of works. Of course it's not a big thing with a long tail keyword. But our keyword is not that much bad and competing.

See the results competition - Results 1 - 10 of about 1,890,000 for quality website optimization. (from Google)

The keyword we have optimized is " Quality Website Optimization" based on the <link drop removed> Concept

and yeah you can see the results in google there, we are No.1 there - http://www.google.com

It's ALWAYS been the case that newly crawled/indexed pages hit high rankings on their first appearance in the index. Usually lasts for about 3 weeks maybe 4 then it will drop into the oblivion it would normally be.

if your webiste is a new one, i think it is normal

If you are really doing Ethical Seo Than Your Keyword should be on First Page for one month. If you can do it, than you are the real one.

Yeah, lets see whether we are able to make it there as a permanent result.. Don't know how far our work will help us to be there..

Congrats on the ranking. However I wouldn't be so quick to let others know how easy a certain term is, especially in the seo market, one might be tempted to steal the traffic from you.

chrishirst is right...i encounter that one before it usually happy for a new page/site.. and then drop after few days or weeks..

yeah, you don't need to celebrate but if its stays a long time and gives you ROI thats the time you can celebrate.

There are even cases that within few hours to minutes a page being created, they immediately show up on top of Google search. The matter to learn there that you already know how to do it... and you should continuously do it so your site will gain good points towards being an authority site or related.

Another thing to note is:

There is less than 700 pages that are actually targetting those words.

Has it generated any REAL traffic at all, or just one shot page views from people in the forums you have cross posted this at?

Well, it happens with newly indexed website but later a couple of weeks they start drop in ranking so don't panic if it start dropping but keep on promoting using ethical SEO techniques. Also getting ranking depends on competition and for non competitive keyword you can rank quickly and it may constant on the high rank.

I think long tail keywords might be excellent in conversion but would not drive to much traffic and thus you might want to rank as much long tails as possible to get a decent traffic.

To be honest, I don't think it's that hard to start ranking for decent keywords in Google now in short periods of time with a bit of hard work. Still something to be proud of I guess.

yeah I guess that's the real question, winning the SEO competition in google is useless if we optimized the wrong keywords in the first place that doesn't increase our traffic, but congratulation anyway to be no.1 with those keywords

If what you're saying happens reliably and if he really got his #1 SERP with just
two days work, the drop after three weeks should NOT be seen as a problem
since once of the most commonly repeated suggestions is to contually add more content.

If millions of people around the world are adding fresh pages, you'd think the SERPs would be loaded with them.
