hello all
1 - i need to install conversion tracking on a large site - does anyone knows where do i need to install the analytics code? (only on the site's template or only on conversion points like pages on specific buttons on page)?
2 - are there any specific code parameters i need to change on the analytics code?
3- is there a time limit for the use of analytics? - the reason i'm asking - we want to use analytics only for a short period of time - like a week or so.
thanks all, your help or links to reference will be greatly appreciated.

Put it in the global footer right before the closing body tag like Google says ... remove the code when you don't want it any more. (why you'd do that is beyond me though)

what you say is not entirely correct.
to integrate G analytics ecommerce option to a site, you need to more than just add its script on the site's template.
you'll need to add it also to the receipt page + some server side include programming - and this is something i can't understand exactly how to do it.

i've found these 2 explanations on google, but i still cannot understand exactly how to integrate the code, and what kind of coding i need to do.

1 - Just install the code on a global code of you site, just like websest suggestion.
2 - GA will give you a code, it is better not to modify it, just install it where the code might not affect other codes that may broke your the analytics code or your site.
3- It should be fine but, if you are up to statistics, a week might not enough to get the close average of what you are looking.

Just follow the GOogle's instructions. Put Google Analytics codes at your site's coding for them to recognize your site.
