that is 2 links to my site from a 4pr pages from one site is equal to 2 links to my site from 4pr pages each from different sites is equal for google or not?

If all other conditions remains the same then its better to have back links from different sites from the point of diversity.

not sure, all I know PR doesn't matter anymore when it comes to SERP. Google remove it in algorithm a long time ago, I think its on 2007.

I agree! Google gives more value on the quality of back links that you are getting. Quality is better than quantity right?

quantity, quality and relevancy of links really helps..

True, and there are lots of ways to attain quality backlinks, since poor backlinks in my opinion doesn't count at all.

Besides, focusing too much on PR is really not advisable. Its much worth your time if you focus more on promoting your site

Go to quality and relevancy of backlinks to your blogs/websites. Always update the contents of your website in order spiders will crawl there frequently.

when we are talking about raising our page rank, quantity is nothing compared to quality of links..

If we get solid backlinks from pages of same site: that is good. But if we can get the same quality backlinks from different sites, then I guess that is even better. Backlinks from different sites will increase your site's trust factor.

It is not the add, minus thing! Google consider man y factors when assign a page PR!
