you must never submit a new site trough google submission or other search engine cuz this could turn into your site not been indexed for 6 months or more
I hear about this a lot. So, I never had any of my blogs submitted on google. Just link it at any high-pr site if chances permit.
my blog took 24 hours....posted an article and submit in on social sites...updates can take less than an hour then it's already cached....though no wonder if you are using blogspot...
I didn't keep track because it was a new website and I had tons of other things to get in order but, I would say maybe a week at the most. That is the great thing about Google.

Most of my sites index pretty quickly (within two weeks or so)... but I'm having trouble with my newest one. It was indexed on dat three, and now it's not... and Nothing I do is helping. I read that putting it in your signature helps SO HERE GOES> haha...
I wish there was a way to know what stops your site from being indexed. I know that my hosting site is a small fish in a big pond, so I feel like that is probably it's problem. Too much good competiton. It's a tough market.
Mines took probably about a week or so. I just started to develop one-way links and backlinks to my website which got it indexed. Google will find you if you know how to create one way links and backlinks.
You can get your sites indexed in Google in a couple of hours using high-traffic forum signatures to link to your site, social bookmarkings and writing articles and submitting them to big article sites with your site link within the articles.
Normally, my sites get indexed in a day since I only use forum signatures. I never actually had to get my sites indexed very quickly.
I got into Google, in just a few days, about 4 or 5 days. I was doing a lot of the things already mentioned above, to create backlinks, including signatures in forums.
