Hi,
I want your opinions on capitalisation of keywords that does captalisation of keywords have any affect on rankings in search result pages fom google or not? Today, I went through an article at Webpronews where it has mentioned that if we search on google with a keyword having first letter in capital and then having it without capitalisation in both cases google provides different results bu when checked it on google, Google gives same results for both....What do you think it really affect or not? |

Not generally. As with all queries, there are differences sometimes, which could be put down to different DCs.
However, there are times where capitalisation of a word might be used as a modifier to a query, if, for example, the query is for a real name and proper case might return better results for the user. Adwords however is a different thing entirely and you WILL see different ads appearing But on the whole, search word case (unlike URIs) is not an important issue.

I won't think that capitalization will in anyway affect ranking, search engines are more towards the contents and the organization of words rather than the capitalization.

I think that more clicked links in search results can increase your rankings in Google, and people (i think) will rather click on capitalized words, easier to see etc, so in some way capitalization could affect rankings. As I remember, there was a time when Google considered capitalized keywords more important then in lower case, but that is also fixed because of spammers....I must repeat that this is only my speculation and sorry for my "English"
