How my site got PR:2 with just 5 Articles!!!

Months back .cn domains was given for less rates. some hacker bought some 50+ domanis and had a script which create a mirror/fake content page, by this the .cn sites were listed much in google. wen directed to this page an exe(trojan) will be downloaded to users comp.

now wat this has to do with pr!!

i started a site during this time everything was new, just after 2 months my pr was 2(only 5 articles was posted,type-forum) only coz of the .cn sites

wen i googled my site only the .cn sites were showing with my site name

maybe you had a lot of visitors.This pr thing is really strange.I got a pr3 on something with almost no visitors:P

Really? I was under the impression that PR only has to do with the number and quality of backlinks for your website. How can visits increase PR?

Submit it to high PR article directory (of course dofollow directory). If they approve your article, of course they will be counted as your one-way backlink. But it is better also that you submit your site to directories.

I have a single static page with no articles that has been PR2 for awhile. It also ranks really well for a competitive phrase (at least for me). These things happen. Consider yourself lucky.

But like others said, visits have no bearing on PageRank. A big part of it has to do with the quality of incoming backlinks to your site.

And really, toolbar PageRank matters little in the grand scheme of things. It's just a number.

does PR even count for anything more? it used to, but nowadays it does really I dont think.
