Lol. Actually I live just inside England by about 2 miles, but I am half Welsh by blood. I like Wales, but I'd prefer to live where I do than in deepest Wales - and I can't speak Welsh either

I would agree that the Welsh are some of the least lazy spellers I know - I couldn't have the patience to spell words as they do!

Google keeps droping pages its not just down to my own site maybe there is an update happening.

Congrats on the first result. It all depends on who your target audience is with which spelling of the word you want to go after.

Thats great, yeah I think the US uses center but it seems like most other places like Canada, Europe and Australia use the other spelling so that should bring in some great hits.

Y'know I don't know this for a fact but it appears Google automatically compensates for mispelled words, plurals, etc (far beyond "Did you mean...") A great example I came across recently was:

gauge
gage
guage

Just some useless info.

I guess the bottom line is - if you are targeting traffic in the UK then spell center "CENTRE" if you are targeting the US then use "CENTER" and you want global traffic then us
