I think that backlinks update is everyday or on the fly...

I heard Google is reversing PR. So if you have an 8, it is now a 2. If you have a 5, well...it's still a 5. The green bar will now have to be read from right to left. This will occur every other luner year starting today at 08:23:42 EST

Updates (or exporting to toolbar) are mean to be made once in 3 months or so. now a days it seems a little more frequent than that.

Google PR toolbar updates will be done once in 3 months (though backlinks updates are done quite frequently) and hope it will be done this April...
