Would this work And Be Safe?

Hi All

My company owns a large UK dating site with high amounts of traffic were ranking well for most keywords e.g. UK dating, speeddating etc

Now my question is there’s a lot of traffic out there for keywords we have not even thought of for example

Dating in Manchester
Dating in London
Speed Dating in Manchester
speed dating in London

There’s 100s of keywords which could provide small amounts of traffic but if I was big fish in as many pounds as possible It would bring small amounts of traffic with will add up to large amounts

Now my idea was to create a page on my site www.myurl.com/dating-in-manchester www.myurl.com/speeddating-in-manchester

And add an article optimizing each article for two for two keywords for example dating in Manchester and Manchester Dating and once created submitted that article to article directories with a link to my main site and the article page

Also how would in need to inner link the pages together on my site or would my site map be fine for this as I don’t want to put 100 little links on every page as I be leave that’s spam nowadays and untidy anyway

Now if I do this would this be safe and would it be classed as spamming and if not when someone googles Manchester dating would my http://myurl.comdating-in-manchester come up top if done right

thanks for your time

Ricky

read the links posted in the linked thread, then ask the question.

Though why on earth you would want to use an out of date and utterly well worn out "method" and STILL be behind everybody else in the same field is somewhat questionable.

In the most competitive fields you HAVE to be BETTER than the rest.

I think this not a bad idea, but imo you're going about it in wrong way. Instead of writing articles and submitting them to article directories which would be alot of work for small amount of traffic. Also, articles will be almost same. You should display profiles of your users for each of these type of pages. For example, speed_dating_in_manchester.html should display profiles of all the people in manchester interested in speed dating. This way different content will be displayed for each page, you'll be able to cover much more keywords for much less effort and it wouldn't look spammy even if you link it from your main site.

Here is a site which is using this idea, it might be an old concept, but i am sure it is not a bad idea if done properly. And people can still use it to good effect.

If done properly maybe it would work ok... But as what chris said, it's an old technique... Maybe it won't work good anymore...
