well your site may have pr2 but its has nothing to do with your keyword ranking...

you may try anchor text link, it helps...

From what I've read the page rank of the links linking to you does not matter. Whether the link to your site has no page rank or is maxed it will affect your page rank positively. Good Luck.

Google has changed how subdomains are treated a few times over the past few years.

My blog is in a folder rather than a subdomain. The reason... my blog often links to related content pages on my domain. In many instances both of these pages are able to make the top ten of google. This gives me double listing. My blog and the homepage of my site hold #1 and #2 for the main terms that they are optimized for. If my blog was in a SUBDOMAIN (edited) I would not have that dominance.

If the blog gets outside links from other websites then some value will pass to the
main site.

If a blog in a subdomain earns links from outside of your website then some value will be passed to your main site if they are linked. If the blog earns no links then the links from the blog to the website will be worth nothing. Nothing in, nothing out. You suspected that you could manufacture links. You can but they are worth nothing--- EGOL"

I think PR has no any relationship with content. Even websites with only a few pages with normal contents have PR3 or PR4. Why my websites with 300 pages with different contents will be penalized to PR0?
