Just have one short question. As everybody else I'm trying to get backlinks through article submissions, PR wire, link exchanges, but when I serach on Google trough link:www.mysite.com - no links are coming out. Why it happens? Many links I got also from blogs with good PR, does Google index blog links at all??

Do you have a robots txt? if its true: what lines it have?

Google doesn't show all your links to the public. You can only see them on Webmaster tools

The link operator information is also updated infrequently so as to avoid competitors and site owners wasting their time chasing links and obsessing over them when they're not that big of a deal.

You're also going about the backlink thing the wrong way. The best backlinks will come from places you won't expect or target based on content that you have written.

This is true, you can use your Google Webmasters Central account to view all your external links listed by Google. the "link:" operator doesn't get updated that often.

Are you ranking for your keywords? If not, I suggest you employ a new strategy in building links as you might really be doing something wrong.

It takes time, however like someone said google doesn't allow you to see your backlinks in the front end of google
