google and div tags

Ive heard a couple of rumors that google is going to be favoring div tags verses tables. Has anyone heard about this? What are your opinions?

When you look at a page, can you see whether it uses divs or tables? If no, then Google probably doesn't care. Actually, ,they absolutely don't care, but that's a general rule of thumb.

Why would Google care about dives and tables...what we do in our personal time is none of their business...
