Just got off the phone with my registrar company, She said" Your organic ranking could be effected if you registered for Only 1 year, Or by the year..Opposed to someone who registered for 3-5-10 years..Is that True??

Thanks in Advance..

Hmmm. What could be her ulterior motive...

How long you've registered a domain for has no bearing on how good a fit your pages are for a searcher's queries. I doubt that any good search engines would look at that.

They're not trying to say anything

They're just trying to get more upfront funds out of their hosting clients.

I think that the older the domain the higher the rank I did see some seo tool uses the domain age as a determinant for PR, but this will be part of the rank and there is much more to do !!

Ok..If that is the case..Then refer to All that has been written inside this forum concerning PageRank..Because what I have read in here is PageRank doesn't mean anything with the New Game going on over @ Google.. How I understand it when it comes to the Organic results is All about the Content and the Links That make up the site.. I could be wrong, If so correct me.. Thanks in Advance

P.S. Moussa854 if there is such a tool where can I find it? Thanks

We have 3 months old domain that has PR3 and 8 years old that has RP0
Age has nothing to do with domains. They are only used to identify your site.
Nothing less nor more

Stop thinking that toolbar PR is important and you'll immediately reduce the chances of been "taken for a ride"

and assumed (always dangerous) you were talking about the PR (PageRank) as mentioned by fastreplies in the previous post.

It's the Google toolbar but please don't start looking at the silly green pixels. You've probably had a happy life up to now

Are you saying that adding the Google Toolbar is one of the things that Google will consider when it comes to PR?

Rubbish! PR is a function of links and the other factors related to the origin of the link. It has nothing to do with registration period.
