Its just fine. with a 5 month old website, I think its consider good if you got PR3-5...

mine increases from being unranked to PR3 within 2 months.

how did you manage to do it

It doesn't really matter - read the threads that hamesy gave you - you'll find them worthwhile

I remember when a new site almost always got a 3 or a 4. These days a 2 may be starting to be the norm.

Emmily, PR is not important. Read the following two threads.

After you've still read the threads and still decide you want to chase PR, then provide your users with good interesting content. They are then more likely to link to you, which will then increase your PR.

cool! its really blank. its like a blank sheet of a word text editor...just checked its backlinks it has 30,200 in yahoo and 7 in google...some kind of huge backlinks for a blank page.

Bizarre. Why would anybody want to promote an empty page?

Well.......it is good tat you PR increased Bu i think it could be 4 or 5 in five months if you had worked little more on getting quality IBL's with anchor text including your KWs.

And what about your search enginre ranking? If that is good then fine.

You should more focus on getting search engine ranking because SE ranking is more important than PR.

The ultimate focus should not be search engine ranking at all, but visitors. I could (probably wouldn't though) get a technology site to rank highly for some art keyword, but most of the visitors would be disappearing as quickly as they came. Quality visitors are your aim, not search engine ranking, and least of all PageRank

Conversions and sales are FAR more important than either (or both put together)

It is not the be-all and end-all but it is rewarding on a personal level nevertheless when your pr increases.

Find more quality backlinks you will get PR more than this.

from my experience, one of my website have 2 backlinks from PR6 and PR3. the last PR updating it got PR4. only 2 backlinks
