Hi..
i would like to ask a bit about appointment system..
now i face a problem, if the doctor, for example, in wed,27/06/2007 can't work at all, or can only work for 12.00-15.00? i'm quite confuse with this case, since i record each doctor's schedule in dayName.. so, how i access the specific date?
right now, my dbase is:
appointment(appId, staffId, patientId, timeFrom, date, duration)
schedule(staffId, dayId, timeFrom, timeEnd, defaultInterval)
day(dayId, dayName)

thank's for your attention

I'm confused... Do you want to know how to block a day or schedule a fake appt for a doctor? I follow your first two sentances but get lost with "so, how i access specific date?"

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. It might be easier to explain using data rather than just the data structure.

Theoretically you could add the id number to the start date, IF you know what date your records started on and you have every day recorded.

If you can't meet both these conditions then you can't correlate dayname to a specific date.
