Hi,

I'm having some issues downloading a fullbackup for my website through SSH. My website is about 10GB (which I'm thinking the fullbackup should be as well) but when I sign in to my FTp through SSH the backupfile is only around 70MB in size, is this correct or what? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,
(PS: I hope this was the correct forum for this subject!)

What are you using for backing up ?

What size your website is and the size of the database (this being the database forum) are two entirely different things.

I'm using WS_FTP Pro signed on my server through SSH. The fullbackup is made through CPanel into a .tar file.

True but this is a website-fullbackup not a database one (which are much less in sizes of course) which is why I'm wondering what's wrong. usually when I downloaded backups they were around the same size as on my server (2gb on my server made a 2gb backup etc). Since my server has a max-size limit to backups downloaded normally through FTP the 10Gb fullbackup doesn't show up unless you download it through SSH, but it's way too small imo.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong (or what's wrong)!

That's the info I got on a confirmation mail once the backup was done (if it helps with anything!).
