well, i honestly dont even know whats the problem. yesterday i have transferred my forum to another hosting service and changed the NS in domain's cPanel. this morning the domain has already pointed to the new server and I could use the forum BUT, some members still were able to log in (even now) to the old forum (i know its was old because it has less posts than the one that was transferred this morning). i dont know if its a database problem or something, i tried ot delete the "forum" folder on the old host, but "cached" folder inside it couldn't be deleted so i just replaced the index page with my own, saying forum has moved (although the url remained the same).

some people go to the old host and some go to the new. cleaning cookies, cache etc doesnt seem to help. does anyone know what is the problem and how could it be solved?

and... if u r reading this, and go to loreleiweb.com :: Index :: Fun, free stuff and tutorials :: -- do u see a page saying forum has been moved, or to u go to the board directly? maybe some file in the old or new database is still pointing to the old server or something?

this is so confusing, i really have no idea...

any help is appreciated, thanks!

Dns changes in different places at different times.

All will be fine in another 24 hours.

Next time you move something that has a database, consider taking the site off line during the transfer. You are going to lose the messages that were posted to the old database after you backed it up.

A nice thing would be to post a notice on the new site about why some messages might be missing. Server change is a legit excuse.

Cheers,
