I am in need of some serious advice. I hope someone can help.
I am working on a new business with a friend of mine, and we have divided up the duties. My big problem is, I got the software portion of the project. I am a computer programmer, but I work in a mainframe environment. I know next to nothing about building a website. Maybe I can describe what I want to put together and if anyone has any suggestions on the best way?
I need a very standard website which would have a few of the common pages like About Us, FAQ, Products, etc.... I think this could be easily accomplished by using a site creator from the web host whom I have yet to choose. The next thing I need is a Re-order button where I want images stored on a DB and when the customer log's in to this re-order program it displays what the customer has ordered in the past. I then also want the customer to be able to pick out the product they want, and pay for it online. So I do need some ecommerce function as well.
Sound tough? Any recommendations of a web host where I could accomplish this?
