can anyone help got a few question

1. what the purpose of index in sql also why would i put a index on a password coloume.

2.is there a way in sql to send email to all my users email address.

3.is there a way to find out how many times that user has loged on to my website.

i think that it for now but if anyone could help

as for the mail part, sql is for storing and retrieving data only, it is not a programming language. It is a data querying language. so the answer is no

is there a way to send email to all my users without having to type there email address or would i need to make a php script that say somthink like get email from sql database then send email to them

yes you need to write a php script that gets the email addresses from the database and sends them

i write ALTER users DROP INDEX first_name; and it said do you really want to i said yes then i got a error
