Important tip to note is that if you are changing the
admin password, you should be sure to select MD5 from the phpMyAdmin Function menu – Wordpress stores passwords with MD5 encryption

Useful. I've locked myself out of a WordPress site before and had to create a new account directly in the database to get back in.
