a program that reads SQL files

I was instructed to copy and paste the contents of an SQL file to MySQL,

but my computer is unable to recognize the file type .sql

So, I was wondering if you knew of a program that read that file type!

NotePad should open the file. If not download and install NotePad2 (its free).

A .sql file is a text file so any text editor will do.
