I installed wordpress last weeek, front end working withour any problems.But i have problem in admin section under "write post" . i can write under [code] mode only, that's mean only text with out HTML codes. if i use any HTML codes , it is not updating. i checked database fields it is "text" field.

html is text as well, just because browser interprets html file contents differently than a text file doesn't mean that html is not text as well. text field can be / is used for storing html in most of CMSs and blogging platform wordpress including. You've probably screwed up something in your wordpress installation.

A text field can contain 65,535 characters as opposed to char or varchar which can contain 255 characters.

In MySQL 5.x varchar can be 65,535 characters as well.

Looks like your problem has to do with something else. You may want to ask the mods to move this to another forum.

You might also want to try upgrading to wordpress 2.5 - it just came out - and it might fix your issue.
