Hi,

im having a major problem with my site, as soon as it finally starts to take of and gets heaps of traffic i've had to change my site to a new server.

I've transfered the whole site accross but im getting this following message:

Error
SQL query:

--
-- Dumping data for table `featured`
--
LOCK TABLES `featured` WRITE
MySQL said:

#1044 - Access denied for user 'w0010'@'localhost' to database 'aussiepages_com_au_database'

Please if someone has any idea on what I can do I would really appreciate it. Im trying to upload my backup database by going to myphpadmin selecting the database and clicking on SQL then browse and upload...

Please help really urgent.

When MySQL is dumping or loading data from a dump, it locks the table.

Your problem is actually "Access denied". Is the user w0010 the user on the hosting server? Is the MySQL database host supposed to be referenced as "localhost"?

Haven't seen that output before. How did you dump your DB from the old server?

Looks like the user w0010 doesn't have the Lock tables privilege.

Did you add the user to MySQL yourself? If so, are you able to modify the user privileges?

If it is a cPanel hosting account that should be fairly straighforward.

Hmm well are you trying to export the database from phpMyAdmin?

If so - look in your hosting control panel and see if there is a way to do it there.

Failing that get back on to your ISP and ask them if it should work, can they talk you through the steps one by one.

That way if it doesn't work you'll know it's down to their system, and not something that you're doing. Hopefully they'll be more willing to help then!
