YouTube will launch nine country specific versions of YouTube today. YouTube local versions will be available for Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and the U.K, complete with relative country specific domains such as youtube.fr and youtube.jp. Hmm, not sure that's such good news. If google plans on doing what they did with google.com and redirect everyone to the other domains, some really popular content won't be as readily available. First thing that comes to my mind is korean starcraft matches, but I'm a freak that way, there are probably other things that fall into the same category
