Here is a very nice program I use to protect my passwords and important notes: Roboform. It´s free, you an upgrade it later for a price.

If you know anything better please tell me.

If you want to create a virtual disk and encrypt it use Cryptainer!

TrueCrypt is one of the best software that can manage virtual volume disks. Moreover, it's FREE (open source) & very advanced too.
