Post 20 post before you can ask someone to do a job? J

Hi everyone! I am brand new to this site and I must say that there are some very talented people here!

I am just curious as to why you have to post 20 post in order to ask for a job to be completed... I am sure there is a reason for this, but I don't know what it could be!!!

What particular forum are you referring to (a couple of them do have minimum post requirements)?

There isnt supposed to be a minimum post requirement in our marketplace forums.

I was trying to ge a post up in the Graphic Designer Contests forum. I am needed a logo for my pet sitting business... I posted the required number of posts in order to do this, but I was just curious as to WHY this was required.

We put this rule in a couple of months ago becaue we were getting so many fake contests and scammers. We were hoping that if we required someone to have 20 posts, that they would be more serious and honest about holding a contest. It seems to have helped deter some scammers.

Ah, makes perfect sense! I thought there must be a reason! Well, I really like this site! There are a lot of people working on a logo for me now in the contest area. Thanks for your reply!
