I have a question about this forum... not sure if this is the right place for it or not.

When I read a new thread and then go back to the main page of the forum, it still shows that there are new threads and I have to mark all as read at the top of the page to get the little "N" to stop flashing. It's kind of annoying. Is there a setting or a way to stop it from doing that?

Hmm, I just tried and it's doing the same for me....or rather, it's not doing the same. It's not showing them read until I log out. It's time for Chopper!

BTW, I'm moving this to Site Suggestions & Feedback.

Basically its because of either proxy or local cache. The sever operated by finding when you visited last and comparing it to the time that a thread was posted in. If a time which a thread was posted in is greater than your last visit then it shows a 'blinkin' icon by a thread. If the post timestamp is less than your last visit is shows the 'x'. If a page has not reloaded then the times will not be compared and the page not re-parsed. If you hit shift-f5 or cntrl-f5 then it refeshes completely. if not then re open the browser.
