Hello to our administrators, just wondering why don't you allow people to post on others thread to make the transaction active like old times.

edpudol,

The choice was made to disable subsequent posts to certain forums because such follow-up posts were invariably negative. Member A selling a site very similar to Member B's site would take the opportunity to post negative comments in Member B's thread -- perhaps calling into question the validity of the site, its profitability or to otherwise insinuate risk to potential buyers.

It very much got out of hand. Sellers were getting disillusioned and flame wars became more and more frequent.

Finally the decision was made to take all transactions to PM or email. It has worked well to this point and there have been few complications from the change. Sometimes the "old times" weren't necessarily better.

Thanks for you question.

I think I understand your last post.

WT should still be a very attractive destination for buyers and sellers. The inability to POST in the thread in no way impairs the ability of buyers and sellers to communicate by PM or email. In fact, I believe it would be preferrable so as to keep the details of any negotiations and purchases private and not subsequent to indexing by search engines or snooping by competitors.
