Why can't I reply to other topics?

I tried to post a reply to a topic in the For sale forum but it said I did not have privilidges. What did this mean?

Great question. The Sites For Sale forum has special rules to prevent spamming and acrimony. If you want to conduct business on that topic, it must be done via PMs or email. The rules for that forum are here: http://www.webmaster-talk.com/showthread.php?t=10046

That said, we also have a policy here at WT that does not extend PM rights to members until after they have achieved 5 posts. We have had issues with mis-guided folks signing up at WT just to inundate our other members with SPAM PMs. After you reach 5 posts, within an hour, a script will run granting you PM privileges.
