when you click a a users website 'www' button it opens the link in the same page, i think it should really be target="_blank"

Hmm, I thought it did open a new window, but I see now that it's not. Good suggestion. Thanks.

I prefer links not to open up in new windows (if I want a new window, I'll say so!) , so it might have been me who took it out

just saying it might be inconvienent if your expecting a link going to a different site might be opened in a new window, only being disspointed having to go back then right click

I'll change it tomorrow, I think a lot of users do expect outbound links to open in a new window.

It's one of those personal preferences things. I like it opening a new window, too.

It used to open in a new window. I blame chroder!

I prefer outside links opening in new windows, but I got so used to them not on so many sites that I just right-click and tell them to.

i use a command click and open them in a new tab. that way they load in the background and i can stay focused on the site i was originally browsing.
