in the HTML, DHTML and CSS catagory there is a great css resource stickied with some awesome links in it for beginners and pros. Have you considered adding a similar sticky to the other coding talk topics? The list in, "coding - all the rest" is great but there isn't much in the way of tutorials.

Just a thought,

faze1,

Because that forum is specifically meant to address "all other" categories of coding, it's hard to provide a definitive list when the scope of the forum is concretely defined as in HTML, DHTML and CSS. I've looked at the links and there are some sites with tutorials there. The list is sticky so it is immediately available.

If you have specific tutorials in mind, let me know and we will get them posted or you can add them to the thread yourself. But given the "catch-all" nature of topics in that forum, it's tough to draw a box around all the topics discussed there.

Thanks for the reply Kyrnt.

Actually, more specificly, I was suggesting a stickied list for the PHP/MySQL topic. I'm just now starting to look in to sharpening my skills and finding the search for a good tutorial site to be a little daunting. I was hoping some old pros could post links to some fo the sites they learned from to help minimize the options. It seems there are plenty of sites offering useless tutorials and I was hoping to narrow down the possibilites.

I only mentioned, "coding..all the rest" because I wanted to point out I have seen the stickied thread there, before some one shot me down for the suggestion. I'm sure the asp beginners would also appreciate a similar sticky in that topic as well.

Ultimatley it is only a suggestion, I'm sure you and the other moderators have a much broader aspect on what features are best for this forum.

Thanks again for the reply,

Cheers,

No problem, faze1. I simply had not realized that you had intended the PHP forum. Why don't you start a thread on this in the forums you had designs on and see what develops. Once the participants there compile a list of worthy resources, we'll knock it up to a sticky. Great idea and thanks for the feedback.
