I have been in the Review website area many times, and have seen and reviewed some sites. My question/suggestion is, is it okay to post a layout you are working on, asking for constuctive critcism, along with help on ideas as to were to go next. And if it is, maybe you guys could make a sub section for that, the main section for completed websites, and sub section for under construction, or something to that effect. Thanks.

OulZac,

To answer your first question of whether it is "okay to post a layout you are working on," the answer is an emphatic yes. While some reviewers find difficulty in effectively assessing how well a layout or partially completed design will work when completed or with a given body of content, the practice is in no way discouraged.

As for the idea of establishing a sub-forum for such reviews, I leave the final decision to the admins, but I would offer that there is likely not enough volume of this type to warrant their own sub-forum. Posters of this type should narrate in their review requests that only a layout or partially completed site is being posted to fully inform the reviewers.

i think that a sub forum of that nature wouldnt be so bad. it seems like i see some people ask this these types of question in one way or another in various forums on here anyway (html forum and website design all the rest). personally i also prefer referring half completed websites to finished projects. people tend to be more accepting of feedback and willing to change. i understand you could just ask in the site review section but in you must wait for a moderators approval which it seems like takes a few days. for some people by the time they get a site posted in there they may have moded on because they abandoned the idea. anyway im sure at some point they gotta draw the line here some where and stop creating more forums.
