Was banned but unsure why..

Hi, I recently signed up for this forum under the user name conradcliff and for some reason I was banned. Here is the message I recieved:

You have received an infraction at Webmaster-Talk.com.

Reason: Permanent Ban

This infraction is worth 1000 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

I have the original post in my email but I'm afraid to post it because I don't want to get banned again. I had posted a link to a site that scans your personal website for errors and I was hoping that the people here could help me out with the errors because I didn't understand most of them. The ban said I was a link dropping spammer or something.

I'm just wondering exactly what I did wrong, I've never been banned from a forum before and I'm certainly not trying to spam anyone. If someone could please just explain the reason for the ban I would appreciate it, it would have been nice to get a warning first with some sort of explanation.

I sent a message to the moderators but there has been no reply...I feel like I'm part of a conspiracy or something.

Anyway..I hope someone can clear things up for me.

Hi,
It looks like you were banned by mistake. Then, the infraction was reversed, but you are still banned for some reason. We are looking into it.

Ok, I figured it out. Apparently just reversing the infraction does not actually lift the ban when it's 1000 points. I had to access a different system to put you back online. You are now free to log in as conradcliff.
