Search and follow

As far as I can tell, the SEARCH link in the top right doesn't function. I haven't been able to find anything.

I'd like to see in the lower-right of posts an option to follow/un-follow. It doesn't look like it's possible to follow a thread except in the initial submission, from what I can see.

The search link works for me. Not sure what exactly your issue is there, so I can't help.

As for the follow/unfollow, there is a Thread Tools option in the blue bar at the top of a thread. Clicking that shows a few options, amongst them, "Subscribe to this thread." which will allow you to follow the thread.
