Site messing up

i take it this is due to the upgrade to 2.2.8

yes its because of the upgrade (something wentb went wrong

) im working flatout to fix it all up Im fixing the more important things first so some small features proberly wont work for a while.

you should make a test area of the site

upload your current style to the test area and apply the changes firstly to the test area so that any problems which crop up are caught in the test site and not on the main one

though this obviously takes more time

i havent upgraded yet - its a little annoying sometimes how much they upgrade - i aint complaining really cos most places upgrade once a year - but they always seem to do it just after youve modified countless files

ooo, i just saw the site, oh man.
lots of things were removed.

the ones that really bother me is the fact that i cant see my PM's and that the reply text box at the bottom of the thread isnt there anymore, now i have to click post reply.

oh well. Im sure you are working hard enough already, let me not complicate you anymore.

with things like the quick reply - the files have to be modified - chopper will get everything up and rnuning in the next day or so

poor Chopper, everytime something goes wrong, Chopper, Dave and Chief have to do some mad coding for hours to get everythign back up. but hey thats webdesign

Alot of tables ect where lost during the upgrade

I will have everything restored back to normall by Friday night.

Im working on the more important things first such as PMs, posting, layout ect.

how were the tables lost
does the latest upgrade change a lot of the templates

i was thinking of upgrading so that when vb3 is launched the upgrade to that will be a little easier

The server went down during the upgrade

yes some stuff are messed up like the text box is still not at the bottom of every thread, but youve done a good enough job already.

thats not anything to do with anything being messed up

the quick reply box requires the files to be modified - its a hack in essence

so it wont be til the rest of the site is sorted that chopper will sort out additions to the site like that
