We have had numerous questions regarding a post requirement of 999999 in the marketplace forums since the merge.
This is because the marketplace forums have been changed to read-only pending their merger into the new marketplace. All new postings for selling items will need to be posted in the marketplace. We have a few more bugs to work out, but most are active at this time.
Forget it. Too difficult for me. Why this block is in place until you guys workout your lack of strategy is beyond me.

One of the reasons the marketplace forum still exists is because there are active threads. You can reply to a thread, just not start a new one. To start a new one you have to go to the new market place, which is up and running.
Good luck with the forum move, I know what a nightmare it can be messing around with forums! Shame I can't post though, this forum is the only reason I signed up lol!

Yes i think it would be better to close down that section rather than having those conditions. People would be complaining if you need to have 999999 posts to post there. Keeping it closed will keep people away from it and no hassles!
