Recently reviewing a list of directories compiled by one of our members, I noticed some serious PR loss of some sites that had really high last I checked. A quick search revealed that Google recently put the smack down on more than 100 directories.
www.bluefind.com (PR=0)
www.hotvsnot.com (PR=1)
www.ajdee.com (PR=0)
www.armeniasearch.com (PR=0)
www.dirone.com (PR=0)
www.freeaddurl.org (PR=1)
www.linkscafe.com (PR=0)
and many more.
Apparently Google did not like these sites selling PR. And in the case of Hot Vs Not, there was no review process. As soon as your paypal transaction was complete your site was listed. I think that some reciprical link directories may also have been a target here.
