the .org, or .edu or any tld itself doesn't make any difference.

it's just that 'real' .org .edu etc. sites are simply big, well respected high value sites, but the value comes from the site, the content, the links etc. not from the extension itself !

I agree that Dmoz is great because it is free but you will wait for submition for 2 or 3 month...and it will be a luck
