Hi to all members and guest.

We are looking for some feedback on our directory altovesto.com Let us know what you think about the directory and where you think the directory or website needs improvement.

OK, one more thing you should know about altovesto.com directory..... your keyword is in your Site Description........That mean after you list your site.....and get approve you can do a search for your keyword and you will see how your site is ranked in our directory.

All sites that is list in our directory will always show up first when someone do a search for your keyword........And if we don't have a site listed with that keyword then the site will pull results from..yahoo,Google, and Dmoz.

And please don't try to spam out directory. Right now some webmasters from.....co.uk is trying to spam our directory and thats not good for the good webmasters who have domain with the extension of ..co.uk.

You can not get a better offer than what altovesto.com offering you today..........To list your site in Yahoo will cost anywhere around $600.00 a year, and yet still you are not sure of getting listing in Yahoo directory....... As for Dmoz you can take three years to get your site listed in Dmoz directory................But in altovesto.com directory you could rank #1 the say day if your site is approve.

We are trying to help out the small internet businesses who can't afford to pay the big search engines to advertise there site or sites........ Our site is not just a directory its a complete search engine with some special advertisement options.......... You can bid for the #1 banner spot this spot will show your banner on top when someone do a search for your keyword.............and we also have an ad box section to the side of the search results pages to display your keyword this keyword will show on all search results pages and it have room for 30 sponsor listing in the ad box section.

You can used this code (xpomua39) to get five dollars into your account and trust me this five dollars can last you a long time with pay per click listing. you can sign up here

If anyone sign up.......Can you please give us some feed back on how the advertisement system is working please?

In this way we can improve on what need to be don.

And please don't used any extension in your domain......What we mean is don't make your URL look like this...........sitename.com/store or sitename.com/store-html ...........Anyone doing this will only help to get there site or sites deleted.

If you like the results you are getting from altovesto.com directory........Then you can leave us a thank you donation.

Well, dude...I submitted to it, just to see what would happen, but I don't expect much.

1) You're (c) Search Engine 2008. Seems to me that "Search Engine" probably isn't the name of your company.

2) Are you a directory or a search engine? What way are you going with this? It's hard to tell.

3) The name is too close to "Altavista" for my liking. That's one of those things where, if it ever took off, you'd end up with a lawsuit.

4) The search, while it seems to work pretty well, doesn't draw from its own database that I can see (looks like a meta search).

5) This is the big one...there's nothing really different about what you're doing. It's a directory. It's a search engine. It's been done about a million times before. What's going to set you apart from the rest? (And not some vague answer where you blow smoke up everyone's *** will cut it either...it's got to be really, really different.)

Come on Adam, you're asking too much and that may blow his brains out.

That is of course after he fixes his site PHP script and then aligned his pages not to mention adjust general look of his result pages and then after he removes his site from hosting server go with his new venture and start shoe repair business.

fastreplies before you start BARKING you should get your facts straight.

Adman will not tell you we had already ask him about a PHP programmer....You know why? Because Adman know its hard to get a dog to lesson.

Your picture is your personality...Thats why you don't have anything good to say....... Adman pass his judgment in a professional manner he is a true adviser and he will be a master of the game soon.

He means me. And yes, he did ask me that question in a PM.

I'll give the guy credit...via PM at least, he is trying. Whether he succeeds or not, time will tell...but at least the fact that he PMed me in a respectful, non-spammy manner is a good start.

OK, Fastreplies........We had someone check out the site for us and I have to say you is wright about what you say about the site needing fixing and all the faults you point out.

This website is running by two people who don't know much about PHP and coding.............but the person who did the site for us really did us some in justest or maybe they just did not care to check out the site to see how it is working.

Right now we are in contact with a guy we meet in one of Google forum and he told us when he get some time he will flip over the site for us he also says he should know because he used to work for GOOGLE WOW!

One thing you have to remember in life and that is there is no shame in getting beat down the shame is how long you aloud your self to stay down
because in the world it always have someone who is better than you.

You beat us down Fastreplies.......We will be back.

But thank you for opening our eyes as two the kind of people it have in the website business.

Be careful with what you hear, ggmct99. I used to work for Google, too. I've never actually had a job with them at any point, but I used to work for them.

(I'd get a reference check done on that one...why would a guy who used to work for Google not want to do his own thing?)
