Has anyone ever order a Gig on Fiverr for link building?

I'm not sure if this is useful or harmful?

I posted this on another forum, still relevant:

I wanted to share my experiment with this junk.

Let me start of by explaining that I was not looking for any "PR" jumps, or links from "Hight PR Sites" or any "dofollow" links (whatever any of that even means.) This was purely an experiment that I used on one of my sites that doesn't do much, rank well for queries, or produce any conversions.

At first, I looked for the absolute biggest "red flag" Fiverr junk listing I could find. I found it, and purchased it for a mere $5 (it was worth it so I could come on the SEO and marketing forums and allow others to laugh.)

Anyway, turns out it wasn't what they claimed (is anyone shocked???)

I purchase. Wait 3 days for the order to process. And some how, it was done in a matter of 30 min! I was amazed anyone could manually build 150+ back links that fast! These are high quality too! I was for sure going to #1 on Google!!! Well turns out, it was spam. And not only that, but he gave me a BONUS 300 links!!! Wow what a guy!

I did what everyone in that crappy posting should have done and left him bad reviews. The poster instantly freaks out because this is how he feeds his family through good Fiverr postings, yadda yadda yadda.

A part of his 5 private messages he sends me, he offers this:

Nobody wins with the negative review on there,

So that's my story. If you are a novice and believe this is 'SEO' well, uhh... not sure what to tell you other than learn what SEO actually is. If you're a link builder/marketer, (i'm sure you already know this) stay away from Fiverr!!

God~ It's too late. Before I read your reply, I have ordered a Gig of Fiverr just yesterday, for submitting my link to 600 bookmarking sites.

All right, anyway, let me see the result. ai ~~~

I tried I bought 400 social bookmarked, and it was horrible. I received prove, but they were very poorly done, it also took a long time. I tried to get refund, but I didn't get money back. Whatever $5.

I was tempted to buy some gigs on fiverr couple of months ago but luckily my friend on facebook told me her experience on fiverr, that changes my mind. She's a blessing in disguise though, I could have wasted my money on scams.

Don't buy links! Google doesn't like it! Try to make something useful on your site and you will get backlinks naturally!

BTW I bought several services on Fiverr it was awesome!
1) They've made an awesome video for my GF
2) I've got 2 ebooks
3) I've ordered a song
Everything was made in a perfect way!No scammers detected.
But I don't know how about link-building. Anyway, I don't recommend use black hat SEO.

WRONG!!!

Google cannot tell you whether you can or cannot buy ADVERTISING, what Google do say is not to buy links that are there to artificially boost PageRank or manipulate search results.

I never ordered from Fiverr. I have a reason that's why I didn't make any order there. The reason is: "I am not sure how can they offer such cheap services", I can't provide 100 blog posting for just $5 or 100 social bookmarking for just $5. SEO is not that cheap for me...

i dont think id order links from fiverr.. i do order twitter and facebook followers..
just to increase my fans/followers count. ppl like follow accounts with "a lot of fans" already compared to just liking a page with 5 ppl

make sure you dont get scammed on fiverr, just buy and wait until you get all results, then you confirm,

Ordered once from fiverr but all the links I got are from websites that are already spammed to death with links probably from his previous gigs and other spammers.
