My question today is a fairly straightforward one.

“Which one is better to advertise an affiliate program to facebook or twitter”

(it is the promotion of a website building company called Sitesell / SBI)

This is right.

Use them in combination with a half-decent strategy for growing and retaining users and you might be on to something.

Spam the hell out of everything you can see and you are wasting your time. Social media is a 2 way street. You can't just hammer people with your affiliate links and expect them to click them.

I personally think you are much better off building a decent website with decent content and using social media to complement what you are doing with your site. People are much more likely to engage with your site if they have something to read, as oppose to being directed straight to a sales page!

Both are very much useful, but facebook had a lot more users. So if you advertise on facebook, you are showing it to a lot more audience.

yes exactly make sure who is your audience, target and filter as much you can.

As per my experience Facebook is better then Twitter for advertising. It contains so much advantage like you can create landing page, business page and also a fan page.

I agree with you. But twitter is also useful. Make followers in it and promote the program, you get good result.

Facebook is better as It contains so much advantage like you can create landing page, business page and also a fan page. Moreover, they can talk on over there and provide feedback.
