Hi,

I have seen that lots of people are looking for facebook likes and thousand of people are offering this service at cheap rates.

I don't know what is the strategy to providing a hug amount of facebook fans. do they are real or created by bots or any other strategy But my question is

How buying facebook fans work for business in any way??

I use Fiverr.com to buy the first 25 fans/likes to my Fan Pages (not Profile) so that I can get the vanity URL. After that, the best way to get more fans/likes is by using targeted facebook ads with good images. If you have a custom fanpage with good graphics you can build a targeted fan base.

My profile page is only for people I know personally not for marketing.

I agree. If you buy fans you're going to end up with fans that never come back to your Facebook page. Why pay for something that worthless?

If a brand has more number of fans definitely there is lots of client engagement and that can generate business for the company but in only one condition if these fans are active fans and participating with the company account. There are many companies which actually buy fans by creating a Facebook profile but if they are really looking for engagement then check that how many people are talking about that company page. I have seen many time that page has 1 million fans and only few hundred people are talking about them which clearly indicate that they are buying fans or may be connected to wrong audience.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

It's an illusion that's all.

If visitors see 100 fans and 100 engaging with your content, you'll probably keep their attention.

If they see 10,000 visitors and not one comment or like, they'll be gone.

Facebook just increase your site visibility relates to seo factor.You doesn't expect too much audience from Facebook because Facebook is only fun site,if your site is about some interesting topic than you expect tons of traffic from that..

Indeed! Facebook is a good site for SEO, not only that it have a lot of users but the back links that you acquire from facebook are good and reliable links.

Social signals are definitely a much bigger part of SEO, and Google has admitted as much.

However, the links themselves are not going to do much for you, and yes - they are nofollow.
