I've heard that delicious.com is one of the most preferable bookmarking websites; anyone here who had tried this site? I am curious if it does give positive results?

It is NOT a marketing tool. It simply is ABUSED by the link droppers who do not know better.

Use it appropriately and it will do everything it is supposed to! Anything beyond that is a bonus.

I have tried this site many times and of course if gives positive results in the form of backlinks.

I used to use it a lot back when it was del.ic.ious

Not used it for a few years however so not really sure. As chris said above, use it wisely and it'll do you good.

Also Digg is not as effective as it once was. Users left in waves when they updated their interface a few years ago...

I think Delicious.com is a one kind of social networking site. But this site is very help full for website bookmarking. PR 8 out of 10 and Alexa 441. Its a very high ranking and powerful site.

Why do all the responses in this thread read like crappy bots? Does anyone have anything intelligent to say about WHY one site may be better than another? In what way better? For whom? Range of sites by content? How do you know? Over what period have you gathered your data? What statistical analysis have you done?

Or is it just a case of seeing a meaningless PR and an Alexa rank that means nothing to anyone?
