As we all know all search engines updating their algorithms so quality and relevancy become a big concern for getting good business from the website.
What determines quality? That's unique to everyone. Authoritative would be a better term I'd say (I've hear Matt Cutts say the same when giving examples of sites such as CNN or FOX linking to your site).

The only way you are getting a thousand worth while links (probably all blog comments) is if you created or made something viral. Otherwise, you're just a spammer with those numbers.

"Yes, reaching new markets."
Amen, Everyone is making a fuss about the Penguin and Panda updates. But if you bothered to do your job correctly in the first place each update would have significantly helped your website in the SERPs.

Wow. There it is black and white, SEOs marketing shady link practices! This is why search marketing has such a bad name.

Authoritative is certainly a better word to use when describing a high profile website, especially when talking about specific niches.

As well again the secret to building links is right here clear as day... VIRAL CONTENT! This not only pleases the new updates that Google has made but it creates a NATURAL LINK PROFILE, which is the ultimate goal of all internet marketers. I cannot count how many web developers go with the shady link building tactics wasting hours a day, instead of taking one or two to simply make a peace of valuable, viral content to share with their community!!! Do that and maybe some websites will want to link to you and you won't have to go fishing for links all day!

... just my thoughts though

Link building is not about search engine optimization, It is also not about boosting page rank. But inserting backlinks in websites.

submit mass number of spam links is not helpful rather than that feeling of active and quality links that are relevant for your business is more important to get more page rank and also helps your business visibility in search engines.

Although the kind of links that you are building may not have the kind of quality that can give you the ranking that you desire. But, Based on my own experience generating that much links in a monthly basis can get your site in trouble. I have a site that has been penalized for creating too many links in a short period of time. Those links were mostly links that I created out of article marketing.

needless to say, 1000 links per month will be bad. but sometime it really depends on what site it's? if you are not a large site like yahoo, don't do it.

this incredable increasing only got penaty from google only, so if you can make 1000 links per month, just slow it down.

but, I have great interesting on how u can do 1000 links per month? this is my weakness, can you share more about this?
