Cheating your employer isn't a good reason to use proxy servers, and is one of the reasons they're so reviled. That, and how they're used to spam WikiPedia.

The one good reason I can think of to use proxy servers is to get around The Great Firewall of China.

I don't think the proxy website will make many money.
It's need better machine and more bandwidth, and the clicks on ads are fewer than normal website.

Me neither, it seems to be the latest in a long line of products targetted by spammers, to convince people into making money.

Someone telling you how many hits they got isn't the same as actually getting those hits. Hits are also the most meaningless web stat since you could technically generate that many hits with a single visit to a web page.

Pretending for a moment that OP did get 500,000 hits and that by hits he meant something more useful like visits. Only earning $50 from 500,000 visits is quite pathetic. If you had that much traffic in a day you could do something as simple as dropping in some AdSense code and make more.

50000K hits in a day and the result is $50, not only a scam but a bad model.
