If you get content thats constantly changing AND related to your site, what would be the impact on your SERP?

Share your thoughts. Thanks!

Depends what you mean by "get content thats constantly changing". Do you mean to keep adding new pages, or to update existing pages with new content? If you mean the former, then you are widening your reach by using more potential keyphrases. Not to mention helping your visitors - if the information is useful and not just published simply for some perceived SEO gain.

I don't think that there will be impact, but from other point your website will be catch for indexing more often and you must not stop adding new content, or your SERP will fall down for sure

Not only do contrary examples show this to be false, it doesn't even make sense for this to be true.

1) There are sites whose content hasn't changed for years and they still rank well
2) Frequently updated content doesn't necessarily mean more relevant/more accurate/better quality content

Hi there

I agree with gringo, there are some sites that are high in serps that seemingly have hardly any content at all, or some sites that havent changed in years. I wish i knew why some sites do seem to be so high in serps with what seemingly look like poor sites.

I personally think new content is a must, but thats for my visitors that come onto my site otherwise, people get bored of seeing the same pages all the time.

If its good for ur visitors then surely its good for your serp.

One of my sites is a directory. By it's very nature, the pages will often have new content.

If you are talking about content being added to the content already on the page; I can tell you that the new content will impact your ranking in the SERPs. The catch being that it can help you rank higher, rank for new keywords, or cause your current rankings to fall.

Continuously adding new content, from what I have seen with my own sites, primarily keeps the spiders and bots returning to your site and will get new pages more quickly added to the indexes.

There is a huge difference between adding fresh content frequently and redesigning.

Fresh content is a sure fix and great link bait too!

Redesigns, serious navigation changes, and big structure changes on a page will generally cause a drop in serps, and can even get you sandboxed for a bit depending on the sites authority.

So yes...Fresh, Frequent, Content is GREAT!

Why do you think Blogs perfom so well?
