I have a prospective client that wants me to bump a couple site listings down the Google ladder in terms of results. I have mixed feelings about this and wonder if its an ethical thing to do.

The client has lost business because of the search as well (or so I am told).

The search is for the clients name, and it brings up a sordid past on him which keeps following him around.

I have thought about it, and the easiest way would be to buy up domains with his name and start linking.

What do you guys think?
