I'm setting up a website for a business and want to be able to look at their traffic without having to log into the control panel.

Is there a way to make Awstats (or some other program) viewable to anyone?

Some hosting companies offer a link to stats pages, something akin to:

yourdomain . com/logs/WEBALIZER_REPORTS/report_name

You can also use a freeby such as:
addfreestats . com

Just place some code on your page and off you go.

bbclone has a cool hit tracking script.

So I can't do anything with the .conf files or the .html files in my /temp directory that resides above my /public_html folder?

If I copied them over, they obviously wouldn't have updated stats because i dont guess the conf files would work.

So i need to use something like bbclone or something that tracks it fromthe outside? I really dont want to rename all my files into .php files just so i can check the stats.
