Hey well my school computers dont let me go to google images and stuff. So I was wondering if you guyd happened to know any search engines that are new, about 1 or 2 years old, that I could use to bypass my schools internet firewall.

You don't really need a search engine to find images, just go to a site like http://mayang.com/textures/ they have plenty of stuff!

Uh, you do realize there are a lot more types of images than just textures?

Traditionally the way to bypass a firewall is to route your traffic through a proxy filter. Again, you need a new enough proxy that it won't have been blocked.

I know that, but there are other resources that have the same stuff.

Although, for anybody looking for ways to attract traffic, putting together a list of all the best resources for this kind of thing might be something people would be interested in. The poster who started this thread definitely would!

That is a good idea, im sure it has been done before. Infact nearly every forum has tons of pics on it that can be used freely. That might also be a good place to start. Just a Idea!

I'm not sure about this. But, is it possible to build a custom search engine with Google with image search ? And, I think you should search Flickr. I mean, its not "really" a search engine.

Use dogpile.

Dogpile is pretty well know, I dont think that would do the trick ?

Altavista has a better image search than google.
Also you could try using googles IP instead of domain name.
