Why is still has no page rank?

Is it normal that after 4 months a site still has no page rank assigned to it or rather a rank of 0.

I have requested many links although many have not shown up yet when queried under line:sitedomain.

Just looking for input.

Don't be overly concerned about PR as it's not that relevant anymore -- concentrate on "fresh content" and IBL's ... typically, this can take a year or more; your site is far too new at this point.

At four months, I didn't know how to check my PageRank, so you're ahead of me.

Follow Travel Agent's advice. Content, then links. If it's the site in your sig, the landing page is a form asking for my email address and offering me $5,000 a month. Doing what, I'm not sure. This isn't something people are going to want to link to. You can submit the URL to a bunch of directories and put it in your signature, but these kinds of links don't contribute very much to PageRank.

On the other hand if you put up interesting stories about your industry, or any reason for visitors to want to check your site out, then it will be easier to get links, and after you build up some momentum, links will start showing up on their own. The first step is content.

ya its possible, but dont focus on the PR coming from SE. try also give attention to number of visitor you get and how relevant your site is..

Yes it happens and you are not the only one who is experiencing this. It’s a normal thing with new sites so don’t worry much about it and concentrate on other factors such as on-page and off-page optimization in the mean time.

What is your site URL? You must get more quality backlinks to have a PR. Maybe your site has less backlinks when google updates last January. The next update might be on April so better prepare your site to get more quality backlinks to see your site with PR. But I think PR has no value now. You can get high traffic even you don't have PR.

PR is not that important nowadays though it is one factor that some webmaster include when linking to other sites....anyway maybe when your site receives those BLs the update was done by Google and it wasn't seen by them..wait for the next update and continue improving your link popularity...use your targeted keywords as your anchor text that will help you for a better position on SERPs on a particular keyword...goodluck...

it is possible though 4 months is quite a long time not to have a PR especially if your site has many relevant back links already.

just continue on getting back links.

Online money-making doesnt start and end with PR.
You should be more concerned with healthy traffic-generation patterns, because thats what will bring in the cash.

You've had a little bit of good advice in this thread, but can you pick out which replies have it?

The one above me has probably the most direct and to the point answer you'll find. Unless you want to sell text links based on your PR, it's a distraction, and nothing more.

Also, what URL? I tried the one in your sig, and what I see is that you want to make money from my email address. But what's in it for me? I wouldn't link to you in my blog just to hand you a profit. What's in it for my readers? In this case, yes, it's normal that after any amount of time ( even four years ) a page with no content will have no page rank.

it's normal if you have not strong backlinks for your site . if you want to get good page rank and good serp result , you must find backlinks for your site

If you just want to concentrate on your pr then try to get quality back links.
Also keep your website content as fresh as possible.

quite rare for it to take this long.
anyway... be more active in link building, join more forums. it helps.
